Nano (formerely RaiBlocks) is a decentralized instant payment platform that aims to make transactions scalable and free. The Nano cryptocurrency utilizes a low-latency block-lattice architecture to power its transactions. Each wallet has its own blockchain, and all these blockchains are brought together in a delegated Proof of Stake consensus. All transactions are trustless and peer-to-peer and are designed for minimal resource usage. As a transaction is created and sent, it caches the Proof of Work for the next transaction, thus providing instant transactions. Delegate nodes are voted for any wallet on the blockchain, with higher balances carrying more weight.
RaiBlocks (XRB) digital coins can be sent freely over the peer-to-peer
network and can be used to vote for delegate nodes.
