Diamond is a decentralized cryptocurrency which allows users to send money worldwide in a free and open manner. Peer-to-peer transactions on the Diamond blockchain are powered by a Proof-of-Stake consensus, which allows investors to stake their Diamond tokens on the network and receive “over 25% annual returns”. Diamond offers a Proof-of-Work mining pool (called the Diamond Multipool) where miners can mine various other cryptocurrencies, and rewards are automatically converted into Diamond and awarded to the miners. The mining pool is the primary way through which users can get their hands on Diamond tokens. Diamond Masternodes power a large part of transactions and therefore receive 65% of the rewards.
Diamond (DMD) is the digital coin of the Diamond platform which can be staked, traded peer-to-peer, and used to pay transaction fees.
