Bytom is a decentralized blockchain protocol that aims to build a platform where various byte assets and atomic assets can be registered and exchanged. Byte assets are normal digital assets that act as currency, while atomic assets are digital assets that can be engaged in more complicated operations through a smart contract operation platform. The atomic assets can represent warrants, securities, dividends, bonds, intelligence information, forecasting information and other information in the physical world. The Bytcom blockchain consists of three layers: the data transaction and transmission layer, the contract layer, and the asset interaction layer. Other blockchains can create a small version of their own blockchain on Bytom.
Bytom (BTM) is the primary digital asset of the Bytom platform that is currently an Ethereum token to facilitate the Bytom ICO.
