BlackCoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency platform for the peer-to-peer exchange of digital assets. It aims to provide much more transparency than traditional banking systems through its auditable public ledger. The BlackCoin blockchain uses a Proof-of-Stake consensus, which allows users to stake their BlackCoin for an annual return of between 1% and 8% (depending on network weight). Even though its transaction history is public and transparent, no personal identifying information is needed to use it and therefore it has a degree of anonymity. BlackCoin also offers other more advanced features, including BlackHalo (a smart contract client) and PayBLK (a multi-signature wallet).
BlackCoin (BLK) is the digital asset of the BlackCoin blockchain that can be sent peer-to-peer between users, used to pay transaction fees, and used to power its various features.
