Clearly there’s lots of focus on this space right now — it is no secret that there is something going here.
Which raises the question, is this the perfect way to do things? From the idealized version of an open, public token sale, the idea is to spread the possession as far as possible — because tokens are really intended to be about usage as opposed to simply speculation.
I suspect that we’ll see variations from the model that try to correct for this. Nick Tomaino proposes doing something similar to a personal sale to big investors ahead of their public pre-sale:
While this doesn’t completely fix the issue, it does feel like an improvement over the BAT process — where big investors can engage without crowding out smaller investors and individual users.
